Journey Into Summer: An Inclusive Camp for Fun, Growth, and Discovery!

Join us for a summer of fun, learning, and inclusion at Journey Into Summer! Our camp is designed for children of all abilities to explore, create, and grow in a supportive, engaging environment. Through hands-on activities, social connections, and immersive experiences, we bring the spirit of Journey Inclusion Academy to life—where every child is valued, empowered, and inspired to grow!

Summer Camp Overview

  • Each day starts with a group check-in, mindfulness activities, and discussions on emotional regulation, communication, and teamwork.

  • Engaging literacy, numeracy, and science activities designed to maintain and build skills in hands-on, inclusive environment.

  • Weekly hiking trips to places like Muir Woods & Tilden Park, outdoor play, and nature-based learning to encourage curiosity and movement.

  • Bi-weekly visits to a local therapy horse ranch, where campers develop confidence, empathy, and hands-on interaction with animals.

  • Cooking lessons, gardening, cleaning, and real-world skills to help children build autonomy and confidence in daily tasks.

  • Exploration of self-expression through music, visual arts, drama, and movement activities.

  • Hands-on activities, including science experiments and visits to places like the Exploratorium, fostering curiosity and discovery.

  • Opportunities for teamwork, group games, and community projects that encourage collaboration and connection.

  • Each day ends with a reflection period where students discuss their experiences, share successes, and build friendships in a supportive environment.

Please Note: Our summer camp experience is designed to provide enriching opportunities for all participants; however, specific activities, outings, and excursions are subject to camper enrollment numbers, funding availablity, and finalized agreements with local partners and participating families. We are committed to making this an unforgettable summer, and with strong family engagement and community support, we can bring these incredible experiences to life!
